“God Said Yes” — Actor Rotimi Salami Survives Major Health Scare

Zoyols News

Popular Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami is currently recovery after a serious health scare that left him hospitalized. Taking to his social media, the actor shared a photo of himself from a hospital bed, expressing immense relief and gratitude for pulling through what he described as a life-threatening situation. He noted that he survived the last 48 hours only because of divine intervention, marking a sober moment for the talented movie star.

Reflecting on the cause of his breakdown, Salami admitted that he had pushed his physical limits while promoting his latest movie project, Kilanko. Rather than blaming external forces, he candidly acknowledged that the intense stress of the production had taken a heavy toll on his body. Despite the physical exhaustion, he expressed satisfaction with the progress the film is making, while reminding his fans that health remains his top priority following the ordeal.

This incident has once again sparked conversations on Zoyols News regarding the grueling working conditions faced by Nigerian entertainers. Salami is not the only star to face a medical emergency recently. Earlier this year, Sarah Martins recounted a frightening experience where she woke up unable to feel parts of her body. After undergoing 32 different medical tests that all came back negative, she emphasized the desperate need for proper rest in an industry that rarely sleeps.

The list of actors facing health challenges continues to grow, serving as a reminder of the fragility of life. Yomi Gold recently detailed a terrifying episode where a sudden, intense headache nearly cost him his life, praising the swift response of emergency teams. Similarly, Omoni Oboli and Mustapha Sholagbade have both shared testimonies of survival—Oboli through a bout of illness and Sholagbade after a horrific road accident that almost claimed his life in October.

Even on movie sets, the risks remain high, as seen last month when Brodashaggi was hospitalized after sustaining a gunshot injury during a film shoot in Ogun State. These recurring reports highlight a trend of physical and mental exhaustion among Nollywood’s finest. As Rotimi Salami continues his recovery, the industry and fans alike are offering prayers and support, hoping that these wake-up calls lead to a greater emphasis on self-care and safety within the creative community.
