2027: Southwest APC Leaders Unite Behind Sharafadeen Alli

Zoyols News

A major political alignment is taking shape in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general election, as the South-West leadership of the All Progressives Congress has firmly thrown its weight behind Senator Dr Sharafadeen Alli, the party’s governorship candidate. This crucial endorsement came during a strategic solidarity visit by the zonal executives to Ibadan, signaling the party’s early preparation and determination to reclaim the state.

The delegation, led by the Acting South-West Zonal Chairman of the party, Mr Lateef Ibirogba, emphasized that Senator Alli possesses the track record and leadership capacity needed to guide Oyo State toward sustainable growth. Ibirogba described the candidate as a unifying figure who is widely accepted by the public, assuring him that the regional leadership will mobilize every necessary resource to ensure a decisive victory at the polls.

Internal cohesion is currently the top priority for the party’s regional handlers. During the meeting, Ibirogba revealed that the zonal executive committee has been actively engaging other governorship aspirants across the state. The goal of these consultations is to heal old fractures, encourage genuine reconciliation, and build a formidable, united front well before the campaign season officially kicks off.

According to a detailed report by Zoyols News, the leadership stressed that individual ambitions must be secondary to the collective victory of the party. The regional executives believe that an inclusive approach, where every stakeholder feels valued, is the only foolproof strategy to return the party to government house in Ibadan.

Senator Alli welcomed the delegation with appreciation, acknowledging that the road to 2027 demands collective sacrifice and open communication. He promised to maintain an open-door policy, ensuring that all factions and interest groups are carried along in the decision-making process. The governorship candidate reiterated his commitment to offering governance that directly addresses the welfare of the people and fast-tracks infrastructure development across all zones of Oyo State.
