Gospel Singer Toluwanisings Dies as Family Confirms Death

Zoyols News
Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has died, leaving his family, friends and fans mourning his loss.

News of his death spread across social media on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, prompting an outpouring of grief from those who knew and admired his music.

His family later confirmed the sad development in a statement, revealing that the singer died in the early hours of October 14.

The family described him as a beloved husband, family member and gospel minister. They also appealed to the public to remember his wife and other loved ones in their prayers as they come to terms with the loss.

According to the family, details of his funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Reports surrounding his death indicate that Toluwanisings collapsed on the staircase of his residence in Ibadan after attending a worship event the previous night.

He was reportedly rushed to different hospitals as those around him sought urgent medical attention for him. However, the first and second hospitals were said to have turned him away. By the time he was taken to a third facility, he had reportedly died.

The circumstances surrounding the reported hospital visits have drawn attention to the final hours of the gospel singer, although further details have yet to be independently established.

Toluwanisings had reportedly survived a serious road accident in July 2026 while travelling with members of his band. At the time, he described the incident as a miraculous escape, having come through an experience that could have ended in tragedy.

Beyond his music career, the late singer was a trained estate surveyor. He hailed from Ikirun in Osun State before making a name for himself in gospel music.

His death comes amid a series of losses within Nigeria’s gospel music community this year.

In March 2026, gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu reportedly died. The singer, who was a twin, was said to have passed away in the middle of the night, according to reports circulating on Facebook.

Earlier, in January, gospel singer and evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu, widely known as Omije Ojumi, also died. Reports indicated that she had been battling an illness since around 2025, but efforts to help her recover were unsuccessful.

Her death followed that of fellow gospel singer Aduke Gold, whose passing was confirmed after medical experts reportedly pronounced her dead.

Toluwanisings’ death marks another painful loss for the gospel music community, with his family now preparing to lay their loved one to rest. As tributes continue to emerge, his wife, relatives and fans are left to mourn a singer whose life was devoted to gospel music.
