The Nigerian gospel music and comedy communities have been thrown into deep mourning following the sudden passing of fast-rising gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings.
The heartbreaking news prompted an emotional tribute from popular comedian and gospel content creator Ayo Ajewole, widely known as Woli Agba, who took to social media to express his profound grief. Before confirming the tragic loss, the comedian had earlier shared a heartfelt post pleading for a miraculous restoration for the young singer.
Reflecting on the devastating turn of events, Woli Agba described the late musician’s departure as the loss of an angel. He noted that Toluwanisings had only recently ministered powerfully at a music concert organized by fellow gospel artist Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan, Oyo State, making the sudden tragedy even more difficult to comprehend.
In his tribute, the comedian lamented how quickly a moment of celebration could dissolve into profound sorrow, remarking that a uniquely gifted voice had walked off the stage far too soon. He emphasized that the vacuum left by the singer’s passing would be deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and countless fans whose lives he touched through his art.
Closing his reflections, Woli Agba offered prayers for divine comfort for the bereaved family and wished the late singer eternal peace, writing that life remains profoundly unpredictable.
