Kano Gov Insures Tinubu Reelection in 27

Zoyols News
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has signaled strong political backing for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, projecting that the state’s massive voting population will stand firmly behind the current administration to guarantee the seamless continuity of ongoing national infrastructure projects.
Representing the President at the official commissioning ceremony for a strategic section of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Highway in Tamburawa, Governor Yusuf noted that the transformative impact of federal interventions across the North requires greater visibility, emphasizing that numerous laudable initiatives championed by the presidency have quietly changed lives without receiving their fair share of public attention. According to him, the electorate in Kano and across the wider North-West region, alongside other geopolitical zones, is prepared to mobilize en masse at the polls to support the consolidation of these development milestones.
Echoing the governor’s sentiment on economic recovery, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, assured Nigerians that the toughest phase of the nation’s economic restructuring has passed, maintaining that the bold policy reforms introduced by the federal government are finally beginning to yield tangible dividends. Addressing guests at the highway inauguration, Umahi drew attention to the administration’s aggressive infrastructure push across the northern corridor, noting a steadfast commitment to completing every single legacy project initiated under the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Detailing the scope of ongoing interventions, the minister highlighted key regional arteries undergoing transformation, including the Kano Northern Bypass, the Kano Ring Road, the Kano-Kongolam corridor, the Zaria-Hunkuyi stretch, and the expansive Sokoto-Zamfara-Zaria route. He explained that several of these inherited projects have been strategically redesigned using durable reinforced concrete pavement to guarantee longevity. Highlighting the administration’s scorecard in the region over the past three years, Umahi revealed that nearly four hundred kilometers of roads have been successfully completed in the North-West alone, with approximately four thousand kilometers of road projects currently at various stages of progress.
Correspondents observed that the newly inaugurated section of the vital northern artery is expected to significantly ease vehicular movement, reduce travel times, and boost interstate commerce, ultimately serving as a major catalyst for economic integration between the North and the rest of the country.
