Nigeria Democratic Congress has officially closed the sale of Expression of Interest Forms for aspirants seeking to contest the presidential election ahead of the 2027 general polls.
The party, however, announced an extension for aspirants contesting other elective positions across the country. According to the new arrangement, those seeking seats in the State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship positions now have until May 24, 2026, to obtain their Expression of Interest Forms.
The development was made known in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the party’s National Secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.
The statement explained that the screening exercise for aspirants who have successfully purchased and completed their forms will begin on Tuesday and continue until May 26.
The party also disclosed that the distribution and submission of Nomination Forms for aspirants who scale through the screening process will commence on Wednesday and close on May 26.
The NDC further stressed that the timelines provided must be strictly observed, noting that no additional extension would be granted after the deadline expires.
