Nollywood actor Alesh Sanni is currently experiencing a difficult time as he publicly grieves the loss of a loved one. The actor took to social media to share his grief, confirming that eight days have passed since her demise, a reality he still finds hard to accept.

Sharing photos of the deceased woman alongside her son, Alesh expressed profound sorrow and disbelief at her passing. He paid tribute to her memory, emphasizing the care and kindness she extended not just to her own children, but to their friends as well.

“8 days without you, Iya Ishola. Hmmmm, I still can’t believe you left us. Keep resting in peace, our angel. You took good care of us; your children’s friends are also your friends. We love and miss you so much, Mummy,” Alesh wrote, publicly affirming his deep love and gratitude for her life.

Alesh Sanni joins a list of Nollywood personalities who have recently shared their pain over personal losses, illustrating the frequent cycle of grief experienced in the industry.

Earlier this year, veteran actress Rita Edochie mourned the death of a loved one, a passing she noted she never predicted. Despite her pain, she wrote that she whispered, “It is well with her soul.”

Similarly, in August, actress Opeyemi Aiyeola shared her heartache over the loss of someone close. Recalling their last conversation, Aiyeola described being unable to sleep, suffering from a heavy heart, and tears that refused to stop. She mentioned that the person’s death had pierced her heart so deeply that their pictures were “too beautiful and special to be uploaded with RIP.”

In June, popular skit-maker Kiekie also experienced a deep loss with the death of her dear friend, Adepero Agbaje. Kiekie described Adepero as a sister and declared June 6th the worst day of her life. She poignantly noted that Adepero had made her the godmother to her first child, unknowingly setting up a day when she would have to assume the role of the child’s mother. Actress Biola Bayo joined in the mourning, saying she would greatly miss the deceased and praying for comfort for the grieving family.

In related news concerning grief and public pressure, Rita Edochie recently weighed in on the tragic death of popular plus-sized dancer, Chinelo Vivian Muomah, following complications from surgery. Edochie publicly questioned whether those who had constantly body-shamed the dancer were now happy over her demise. She tragically noted that the public planted the insecurities that pushed the dancer into a corner, leading her to undergo a surgery from which she never returned.
