Actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has shared his excitement after a student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Oyindamola, dedicated her academic research project to his movie Seven Doors.
The celebrated actor, son of veteran thespian Adebayo Salami, couldn’t hide his joy as he visited the student on campus to personally congratulate her. Oyindamola’s project, titled The Aesthetics of Oral Performance in Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors, explores the cultural and artistic depth of the film.
Sharing photos from their meeting, Adebayo described the experience as deeply humbling and inspiring. He said witnessing his creative work become a subject of academic study was both an honor and a reminder of how far his passion for storytelling has reached.
“From taking acting seriously to becoming a subject of study — everything came full circle when I met Oyinda at OAU,” he wrote. “Seeing my art echo beyond the screen into academia is truly fulfilling. What started as passion and discipline has grown into a movement of its own.”
Fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages, applauding the actor for the impact his work continues to make within and beyond the entertainment industry.
