In a video shared online, Omotola presented him with flowers while praising his positive energy and professionalism during their work together on her production, A Mother’s Love.
“There’s something about Rex; he brings these positive vibes and energy,” Omotola said. “He has this calm spirit that makes the set enjoyable. I was really tense directing my first film, trying to be perfect, but things weren’t going smoothly. One of the moments I truly enjoyed on set was when he arrived.”
Blushing, Nosa Rex expressed his gratitude: “I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.”
Outside of this moment, Nosa has spoken candidly about the toxicity on social media and its impact on individuals. He revealed that he remains active online because it supports his livelihood but warned against using fame to fuel conflict without considering consequences.
The actor has also weighed in on safety issues in Nollywood productions. After the tragic death of Junior Pope, Nosa recounted a tense on-set experience where a director asked him to dive into a river. He refused, even for a large fee, arguing that safety should never be compromised.
Several Nollywood colleagues echoed similar concerns. Yvonne Jegede stressed that proper precautions, like life jackets, could prevent tragedies and called on producers to raise standards. Ini Edo lamented the lack of industry structure and regulations, describing the actor’s death as a wake-up call for better oversight.
