Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.
Speaking at a press briefing in Enugu on Tuesday, October 14, Governor Mbah explained that his decision to join the ruling party was guided by a desire to accelerate development and ensure greater benefits for the people of the state.
He stated that the move followed deep reflection and consultations, describing it as a step toward aligning Enugu with the broader national vision for growth and progress under the APC.
“Today, after a period of careful consideration, we have chosen to leave the PDP and join the APC,” the governor said, adding that he remains committed to serving the people and pursuing policies that will strengthen the state’s economy and infrastructure.
Governor Mbah expressed optimism that his new political platform would open doors for stronger partnerships and more impactful governance across Enugu State.
