Raphinha Commits to Barcelona Until 2030
Barcelona captain Raphinha has extended his contract by two years, keeping him at the club until 2030. The Brazilian forward, 29, joined the Catalan side in 2022 and had been under contract until 2028.
The club described the new deal as a sign of its commitment to the captain, who said in September that he hoped to remain at Barcelona and could even finish his career there.
Raphinha has made a strong start to the season, scoring 19 goals and providing three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions. He took over as captain after Ronald Araujo and Marc Andre ter Stegen left the leadership group.
Though usually deployed on the wing, Raphinha has also moved into a central attacking role to cover for the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres. Since Hansi Flick became coach in 2024, he has emerged as one of Barcelona’s most influential forwards, helping the team claim consecutive La Liga titles.
