Tompolo Backs Tinubu for Second Term to Secure Reforms

Zoyols News
High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term, asserting that the current administration possesses the right vision and grit to steer Nigeria toward lasting stability.
Speaking at the official launch of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Imo State, Tompolo backed his endorsement with substantial action by donating thirty vehicles to bolster grassroots mobilization efforts across the region. Because he could not attend in person, he delegated the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Kestin Pondi, to deliver the fleet and resources directly to Governor Hope Uzodimma to aid the state’s upcoming campaign activities.
Pondi conveyed Tompolo’s assessment of the president, portraying him as a leader who deliberately traded political convenience for tough economic choices right from the start of his tenure in May 2023. According to the message delivered at the event, Tinubu chose to put the country ahead of his own political office, initiating structural changes that many typical politicians would avoid out of fear of public backlash. Pondi emphasized that the newly inaugurated chapter stands ready to take orders from the state leadership, promising that the movement will penetrate households and local communities to ensure the administration’s message reaches every corner of the state.
Governor Uzodimma welcomed the donation and praised Tompolo for his consistent backing, noting that the campaign infrastructure comes at a crucial time. Reflecting on the trajectory of the ruling party, the governor remarked that public perception of the administration is shifting as the tangible impacts of ongoing policies gradually manifest. He stressed that a single term is simply not enough to untangle decades of systemic challenges, arguing that continuity is essential for the current reforms to bear fruit.
Echoing these sentiments, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, addressed the gathering with a message of perseverance. He acknowledged the economic hardships currently felt by citizens but maintained that structural overhauls inherently demand a period of adjustment before yielding dividends. Looking back at the administration’s journey over the past three and a half years, Asuku argued that the groundwork for sustainable development has already been established. He urged voters to carefully weigh the alternatives and challenge opposition figures on their own track records before casting their ballots, while setting sights on January 16, 2027, as a pivotal date at the polls.
Adding his voice to the mobilization drive, the Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Austine Onyedebelu, pointed to major policy milestones as proof of the administration’s commitment to national renewal. He highlighted pivotal shifts such as the removal of fuel subsidies, adjustments in foreign exchange policies, the rollout of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, and the upward review of the national minimum wage to seventy thousand Naira as concrete steps designed to uplift the populace. Party members were subsequently charged to take these achievements directly to the grassroots, ensuring that residents understand the broader scope of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
