Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 finalist Nelly Mbonu has touched hearts on social media after surprising her mother with a new car and a cash gift in appreciation of her love, sacrifices and support.

The reality TV star shared a video capturing the emotional moment her mother received the gifts. In the footage, her mother struggled to hold back tears as Nelly serenaded her, clearly overwhelmed by the unexpected gesture.

The atmosphere became even more joyful when Nelly handed her mother the car keys. The excited woman soon joined her daughter in a celebratory dance, while family members and other loved ones gathered around them to share in the happiness and congratulate her.

Nelly accompanied the video with a heartfelt message expressing her love and gratitude to her mother, describing the gifts as a small token of appreciation for everything she had done for her.

“DID A THING FOR THE LOML. She deserves the whole world. This a little thank you token to my mummy forever,” she wrote.

The gesture has drawn attention to the special bond between the reality TV star and her mother, with the presentation serving as a touching reminder of the importance of appreciating loved ones.

Nelly rose to prominence in 2024 when she participated in the ninth season of Big Brother Naija, titled No Loose Guard. She entered the competition alongside her longtime friend Anita Ukah, with the pair competing as the popular duo known as Nelita.

The duo made it to the grand finale, where Nelly finished in fifth place. Before gaining wider recognition through the reality show, she had already established herself as a chef, entertainer and video vixen, featuring in several Nigerian music videos.

Her latest gesture adds another memorable moment to her journey in the entertainment industry, as she celebrates the woman who has played an important role in her life.
