Transcorp Reports Strong 39 Percent Revenue Rise in Nine Months

ZoyolsBlog

Transnational Corporation Plc has continued its impressive growth streak, posting a 39 percent rise in revenue to N413.44 billion for the nine months ending September 30, 2025, up from N297.66 billion recorded in the same period of the previous year.

Speaking during an investor and analyst conference call, the Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Owen Omogiafo, attributed this strong performance to solid results from Transcorp’s power and hospitality segments. She noted that the company’s ability to thrive despite economic challenges highlights the strength and adaptability of its operations.

Profit before tax climbed to N124.5 billion, representing an 18 percent increase from N105 billion in 2024, while profit after tax surged by 20 percent to N91.41 billion from N76 billion. Dr. Omogiafo emphasized that these achievements reflect the company’s unwavering commitment to creating value while driving sustainable transformation across Africa. She also revealed that Transcorp surpassed its four-year cumulative revenue target in just nine months, a feat she described as a testament to the Group’s resilience and strategic execution.

The Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Festus Izevbizua, shared additional insights into the company’s financial standing. He stated that total assets expanded by 25 percent to N941 billion, up from N752 billion recorded at the end of 2024, while shareholders’ funds rose by 14 percent to N309 billion.

Izevbizua acknowledged that the company’s achievements came amid a challenging macroeconomic landscape marked by inflation and currency fluctuations. However, he explained that inflation eased to 18.02 percent in September 2025 from 34.8 percent in December 2024, following a rebasing of the Consumer Price Index. He also expressed optimism about the broader economy, noting that Nigeria’s GDP growth projection had been revised upward to 3.9 percent from 3.0 percent, reflecting improved investor confidence and stronger fundamentals.

Transcorp’s power subsidiary remained the Group’s top revenue contributor, generating N341.1 billion and a profit before tax of N93.2 billion within the review period—surpassing its entire performance for 2024. Transcorp Power Plc alone posted a 38 percent jump in revenue to N308.54 billion from N223.56 billion last year, driven by enhanced power generation capacity, which increased from an average of 341MW in 2024 to 420MW in 2025.

With its consistent performance and strategic focus, Transcorp continues to reinforce its position as one of Nigeria’s most dynamic and diversified conglomerates, championing growth and innovation across critical sectors.
