Comrade Saidu Bello Said, the former publicity secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, has issued a bold prediction regarding the 2027 general elections. According to the political analyst, President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are headed for a decisive defeat that could be determined as early as 10:00 am on election day.
In an exclusive conversation monitored by Reports, Said pointed to the growing wave of public dissatisfaction as the primary driver for this predicted shift. He argued that Nigerians are now more politically conscious than ever and are ready to use their ballots to express their frustration with the current state of governance. He noted that the principles of democracy are being undermined, leaving citizens with little choice but to seek a new direction.
The political strategist reserved his harshest words for those in the North who might consider supporting the incumbent administration again. He suggested that the level of hardship has reached a breaking point, and any voter who ignores the current reality is essentially working against their own survival. According to him, the 2027 polls should be viewed by every Nigerian as a critical rescue mission to escape what he described as the tightening grip of the APC.
Turning his attention to the economy, Said slammed the administration’s fiscal policies, specifically the recent hikes in fuel prices. He questioned the logic behind such increases, pointing out that while international oil prices have risen due to global conflicts, the average Nigerian has seen no benefit from the surplus. Instead of relief, he argued that the government has continued to pile pressure on the masses without providing a safety net.
Regarding the internal affairs of the ADC in Kano, particularly following the exit of figures like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Said remained optimistic. He confirmed that the party is currently undergoing a period of restructuring and realignment. He assured supporters that the ADC is focused on getting its house in order well ahead of 2027 to present a formidable and organized alternative for the Nigerian electorate.
