Ashabi Reacts After Portable Mocks Her Body

Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple has broken her silence after controversial singer Portable publicly mocked her appearance during their latest social media clash.

The actress, who shares children with the singer, reacted after Portable made comments about her body, claiming that his wife, who recently welcomed a baby, looked better than she did. His remarks quickly drew reactions online as the disagreement between the former lovers intensified.

Responding through a video posted on her social media page, Ashabi was seen eating snacks while sending a message to those making fun of her body.

She said anyone body shaming her was only reminding God, suggesting that she remained hopeful despite the criticism.

In another post, the actress admitted that Portable’s words hurt her. She acknowledged that she felt the pain but insisted she would not dwell on the matter or say much about it.

The latest exchange began after Ashabi shared what many believed was a subtle jab at the singer in a video posted on Tuesday. Portable reacted by accusing her of attacking him even though he had done nothing to provoke her.

He went on to claim that members of Ashabi’s family were still living in a house he rented for her. The singer also declared that she would never find another man willing to marry her because, according to him, she remained his leftover.

Ashabi fired back by dismissing his claims and questioning his role in her life. She revealed that the singer had sent her only 200,000 naira over the past six months and wondered why he expected her to struggle financially. She also questioned whether he believed she was incapable of taking care of herself.

The actress did not stop there. She rained curses on the singer and made it clear that she had no intention of ever returning to the relationship.

This is not the first time both entertainers have taken their personal disagreements to the public.

During the New Year celebration, the pair were involved in another heated confrontation that attracted widespread attention. At the time, Ashabi openly challenged Portable during the dispute.

Portable later released a video on Instagram in which he accused the actress of storming his home to attack members of his family. He alleged that his pregnant wife was assaulted, claimed guns were pointed at his children, and further accused Ashabi’s mother of saying he had used spiritual powers on her daughter while questioning why he had not bought her a car.

Ashabi rejected those allegations and offered her own version of what happened. She explained that she had visited Portable with her siblings to celebrate the New Year when the situation turned violent.

According to her, the singer pushed and slapped her before allegedly bringing out an axe and forcefully collecting everyone’s phones. She also claimed her younger brother was struck in the eye while her younger sister was slapped, forcing her to seek safety inside his office.

At the height of the controversy, Ashabi appealed to the public to stop interfering in their private issues. She urged critics to allow her to breathe, reduce the constant advice and give her the opportunity to make her own decisions.

Speaking further about their relationship, the actress described Portable as a narcissist. She said his behaviour is often unpredictable because of his jealousy and frequent anger, adding that she wakes up each day thinking about how best to cope with his attitude.
