The new Premier League season opens this weekend and the defending champions, Arsenal, start their title defence while Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea also get their campaigns under way. SuperSport will carry every match live on DStv and GOtv.
Arsenal kick things off today at 9:00 pm against newly promoted Coventry City. The Gunners want another league crown. Coventry are back in the top flight and will try to make a mark on the first night.
Manchester United travel to Hull City on Saturday at 12:30 pm, with both sides chasing a decent start. At 3:00 pm Ipswich Town host Sunderland and Everton welcome Crystal Palace. The Everton and Palace game will be on SuperSport Action, GOtv channel 66 and DStv channel 206. Tottenham Hotspur then go to Brentford at 5:30 pm in an all London fixture.
Sunday begins with Manchester City at Bournemouth at 2:00 pm, City’s first Premier League outing under Enzo Maresca after Pep Guardiola left. At 4:30 pm Newcastle United host Liverpool, one of the weekend’s biggest games. Liverpool start a new chapter under Andoni Iraola while Newcastle will lean on home advantage.
All Premier League matches go out live on SuperSport Premier League, GOtv channel 65 and DStv channel 203. The opening round closes on Monday at 8:00 pm when Chelsea visit Fulham in a West London derby.
