Nsukka will back Governor Peter Mbah for a second term in 2027, according to the chairman of Nsukka Local Government, Hon. Jude Asogwa.
Asogwa said the decision is a way for the people of Nsukka to show gratitude for the governor’s numerous projects in the area. He noted that the council got more smart schools than other local governments, alongside roads, Type 2 hospitals, an oxygen plant, and the appointment of an Nsukka indigene as Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
He described the ongoing dualisation of the Opi-Ugwuogo-Nsukka Road and other developments as remarkable achievements that cannot be overlooked. Asogwa added that Nsukka residents have resolved to repay the governor’s efforts with massive votes in 2027.
