Moniepoint Microfinance Bank has teamed up with Nollywood actress Funke Akindele to launch a new savings campaign aimed at helping Nigerians build better financial habits.
The initiative, called “One Step Ahead,” introduces a range of improved savings products that offer customers more flexibility and competitive interest rates on their deposits.
According to the bank’s Managing Director, Babatunde Olofin, the new solutions were created to address common challenges customers face when saving money. He noted that the offerings allow people to grow their funds while still accessing them when needed, with some of the best rates available.
The products include Target Savings, which lets customers withdraw up to 50 percent without losing interest, Flexible Savings with up to four monthly withdrawals, Fixed Deposit with interest paid upfront at rates reaching 17.5 percent, and Save As You Transact, which helps customers save automatically while spending.
Through this partnership, Moniepoint hopes to use Funke Akindele’s wide appeal to encourage more Nigerians to develop a stronger savings culture.
