Nigeria’s Sovereign AI Push Gains Momentum

Zoyols News

Nigeria is moving closer to building a strong sovereign AI ecosystem following a new partnership between Open Access Data Centre (OADC) and Analytics Intelligence.

The two companies have signed an agreement to develop locally hosted AI and cloud solutions. This move aims to help Nigerian and African businesses use advanced AI tools while keeping their data secure and within the continent.

Under the deal, Analytics Intelligence will provide its enterprise AI platform and data analytics expertise, while OADC will offer high-performance computing resources through its network of edge data centres. The collaboration is expected to deliver secure, scalable, and regulation-compliant AI infrastructure tailored to the needs of African organisations.

The partnership is seen as a major step toward helping companies across sectors such as finance and data services adopt AI without relying on foreign infrastructure.
