More details have surfaced about the reported breakup between former Big Brother Naija housemates Sheggz and Bella, following claims that their relationship ended earlier this year.
Screenshots said to be from private conversations between the former couple have been circulating online. In the messages, Bella appeared to accuse Sheggz of making several promises, particularly about marriage, without following through on them.
One message allegedly showed Sheggz discussing plans for a grand engagement announcement. He reportedly told Bella they would unveil the ring publicly and make the moment memorable. He also spoke about allowing people to believe they had broken up before surprising them with news of their marriage.
Sheggz was also said to have promised that Bella would become the first Nigerian female influencer to make a major impact in America. In another message, he reportedly said his home felt empty without her and that he played Igbo songs because they reminded him of her.
Bella’s response was direct. She reportedly told him that he had made countless promises but fulfilled none of them. She also accused him of repeatedly talking about buying a ring since they left the Big Brother Naija house, saying she could no longer believe his words.
Zoyols News earlier reported that Sheggz confirmed the end of the relationship, stating that they had been apart since January 2026. He denied allegations of infidelity and said efforts to resolve their differences after the breakup did not work out.
According to him, he genuinely wanted the relationship to succeed and had even bought a ring. He added that he understood Bella’s family might have their own views about the situation and said he respected their feelings.
After his statement, Bella’s sister, Sandra Okagbue, reportedly reacted under his birthday post for Bella, asking him to remove her sister’s photos from his page.
The couple met during the Big Brother Naija Level Up season and became one of the show’s most talked about pairs. They marked their first anniversary in 2023, with both sharing messages about their love despite the challenges they faced.
Their relationship had previously faced public scrutiny in 2024 after Bella removed photos of Sheggz from her Instagram page. She later dismissed breakup speculation while replying to a fan. Sheggz also denied claims that he had been seen with another woman.
