Chief Bash Etuemena, a former chairman of Heartland FC of Owerri, has expressed strong confidence in the Super Eagles’ ability to emerge champions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Speaking on the team’s impressive run, Etuemena said he is hopeful the Eagles will go all the way and lift the trophy, citing their consistency and attacking strength throughout the tournament. Nigeria booked a place in the semi-finals after a convincing 2–0 victory over long-time rivals Algeria, setting up a high-profile clash with host nation Morocco.

The Super Eagles have enjoyed a flawless campaign so far, recording maximum points in the group stage with wins against Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda. Their dominance continued in the knockout rounds, where they swept aside Mozambique 4–0 in the round of 16 before eliminating Algeria in the quarter-finals.

Etuemena singled out the performances of key players such as Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman, describing their displays as evidence of a squad capable of overcoming any opponent. He noted that the blend of talent, confidence and tactical awareness has set Nigeria apart from the rest of the field.

He urged the team to maintain their unity, focus and discipline as the tournament enters its decisive stage, stressing that those qualities would be crucial if the Super Eagles are to complete their title charge and bring the trophy home.
