Nigerians have been put on high alert following a fraudulent online portal falsely advertising an ongoing nationwide voter registration exercise.
The Independent National Electoral Commission issued a stern warning over the weekend, identifying the rogue platform as pvc-inecnigeria-org.blogspot.com. According to investigations into the commission’s public advisory, the deceptive website claims to manage a final phase of permanent voter card registration, offering services such as details updates, polling unit transfers, and replacements for lost cards between September 28 and October 27, 2026.
Electoral authorities have clarified that the official registration window officially closed on July 26, 2026.
