Tinubu: Here’s my plan for Nigeria next

Zoyols News
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has outlined the upcoming blueprint for his administration, signaling a strategic transition from foundational economic surgery to broad-based prosperity, job creation, and cost-of-living relief.
Speaking during his national address, the Nigerian leader noted that the arduous phase of structural reforms has successfully corrected decades of deep-seated economic distortions. With foreign reserves rebuilt, the foreign exchange market stabilizing, non-oil export revenue surging past six billion dollars, and economic growth exceeding four percent, the government is shifting gears. The overarching objective moving forward is to translate these macro gains into tangible, everyday improvements for citizens who continue to grapple with high prices and economic friction.
At the heart of the next phase is a concerted push to drive down the cost of producing and moving goods across the country. The administration plans to scale up mechanized irrigation, enhance dry-season farming, streamline access to quality seeds and fertilizers, and heavily upgrade storage and logistics networks. By completing vital road, rail, and port arteries, the government aims to bridge the physical gap between rural farms, bustling factories, and consumer markets. When production becomes cheaper and transit times shrink, those savings naturally cushion consumers at the market level.
Beyond affordable goods, the administration is placing industrial growth, enterprise, and employment at center stage, keeping pace with the millions of young people entering the workforce annually. Plans include leveraging domestic gas reserves to energize manufacturing hubs, reviving dormant factories, extending digital connectivity to underserved communities, and expanding targeted access to education and consumer credit through initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and CREDICORP. The vision is to build an ecosystem where local farms feed national cities, domestic manufacturers supply global markets, and young innovators can build tech unicorns right at home.
While acknowledging that millions of families still face steep financial hurdles for food, transport, and schooling—challenges rooted in generations of structural weakness—the administration emphasized that the focus is on lasting solutions rather than temporary relief. Reaffirming that the goal is to defeat poverty rather than merely manage it, the leadership urged citizens to maintain resolve. Having navigated the turbulent waters of reform, the administration maintains that the foundation is secure, the direction is set, and the journey toward shared national prosperity must press forward without looking back.
