Formula 1 will stage 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries in 2027, with the season set to include 10 sprint races, among them a sprint weekend in Monaco.
The calendar, unveiled on Wednesday, will begin with pre season testing in Bahrain from February 24 to 27. The first race of the season will then take place in Bahrain from March 12 to 14, before the championship moves to Saudi Arabia the following weekend.
The opening rounds in the Gulf could once again face security concerns linked to the conflict involving Iran. Formula 1 and the FIA were forced to deal with similar disruption this year after the repercussions of the US led war on Iran affected events in the region.
The current season is scheduled to finish with races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, although contingency arrangements are in place should either event become impossible to hold because of safety concerns linked to the ongoing conflict.
For 2027, Abu Dhabi is again scheduled to host the final race of the championship.
The European section of the calendar will see Portugal return in June, with the race scheduled to take place at Portimao. Turkey will also make its return in October, joining the schedule between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix.
The Netherlands, however, will no longer feature on the 2027 calendar.
The season will also bring a notable change to the Monaco weekend, with the famous Monte Carlo event scheduled to host a sprint race from June 4 to 6.
