INEC has uploaded Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke’s Form EC9, listing him as the African Democratic Congress governorship candidate for Oyo State ahead of the 2027 elections.
The commission placed the form on its portal late Saturday, alongside other governorship candidates across states where polls will hold in 2027.
Adegoke’s media team described the development as confirmation of their principal’s victory at the party primaries, which INEC supervised. They said the display should settle any dispute over the party’s candidate.
The team urged other aspirants and their supporters to stop laying claim to the ticket and to respect the party’s decision and INEC’s position. It described Adegoke as a tested leader with the capacity to deliver good governance in Oyo State.
According to INEC’s timetable, candidate names were expected to be displayed on Saturday, 29 August 2026.
