Senator Barau Jibrin has urged residents of Kano North Senatorial District to stay united and continue supporting President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, himself, and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Thursday at the National Assembly, the Deputy President of the Senate received two delegations from Dambatta Local Government Area who came to appreciate him for his ongoing support and projects in the district.
Barau said he is running a monthly empowerment programme that gives ₦100,000 start-up capital to 1,300 petty traders and artisans. He has also distributed fertilisers, water pumps, grinding and sewing machines, motorcycles, and refrigerators across the senatorial district.
He assured the people that his focus on empowerment, education, agriculture, and infrastructure will remain steady, adding that his goal is to see every household in Kano North become economically independent.
Barau appealed for unity and loyalty, stressing that together they can build a more prosperous Kano North and a stronger Nigeria.
