Adeniyi Johnson Faces Backlash Over Insecurity Outcry

Zoyols News

Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has sparked reactions online after expressing concern over the rising level of insecurity in Nigeria, a message that quickly drew both support and criticism across social media.

Taking to his Instagram page, the actor shared his frustration about what he described as the growing fear among citizens. He questioned how the country arrived at its current situation, pointing out that Nigerians were once promised peace of mind but now seem to be living in constant anxiety and uncertainty.

In his post, he called on the government to take urgent action, raising concerns about the increasing boldness of criminal groups. He wondered if bandits had become more powerful or strategic than the country’s security forces, given how widespread the insecurity has become.

Adeniyi Johnson wrote about the situation in emotional terms, stressing that many people can no longer sleep peacefully. He urged authorities to step in decisively, insisting that the issue has now become too close to home for comfort.

However, his comments did not sit well with a section of social media users who were quick to remind him of his past political stance. Several critics pointed out that he had previously shown support for the current administration, suggesting that his recent outcry contradicted his earlier position.

The backlash that followed saw mixed reactions, with some users questioning his sincerity while others argued that insecurity is a national issue that affects everyone regardless of political alignment. A few commenters insisted that the situation speaks for itself, while others accused him of only speaking up now that it feels closer to his personal experience.

Despite the criticism, the conversation around his post has continued to highlight the growing public concern over safety in the country, as more citizens call for stronger and more effective responses from those in authority.
