Airtel Opens 350 New Service Centres Across Nigeria

Zoyols News

Airtel Nigeria has significantly expanded its customer service footprint across the country, rolling out 350 premium experience centers out of a planned 500 new outlets. This massive expansion is designed to bring key telecommunications services closer to millions of Nigerians, cutting down travel and waiting times.

The official launch, held at City Mall in Onikan, Lagos, represents a key milestone in the company’s retail expansion. This push adds to a massive nationwide network that already features over 9,000 exclusive outlets across all local government areas, more than 350 major customer centers, and a retail partner network exceeding 73,000 across major towns and cities.

These newly opened shops operate as highly efficient, compact service points where subscribers can easily manage all their telecom needs. Customers can visit the centers for home broadband setups, fiber and outdoor unit subscriptions, postpaid plans, and enterprise solutions. The locations also handle everyday prepaid services, including SIM card registration, data bundle purchases, account inquiries, and general support.

To mark the national rollout, several other locations began operations simultaneously in key areas. These include Purple Mall in Lekki, Marina, Magodo, and Oke-Ilewo in Abeokuta. Outlets also opened at Trend Setter Mall in Benin, Abakaliki in Ebonyi State, Kano City Mall, and Carpenters Mall in Gwarinpa, Abuja, alongside many other locations nationwide.

According to reports gathered by Zoyols News, this aggressive retail expansion is a direct response to customer feedback. Many subscribers had expressed a desire for quicker access to basic services without having to spend long periods waiting at larger, more crowded regional centers.

Speaking on the initiative, Joypratip Sengupta, Director of Sales and Distribution at Airtel Nigeria, emphasized that a top-tier retail experience is essential for keeping customers happy. He explained that these new express shops are strategically designed and located to deliver high-quality, convenient service directly to neighborhoods. By handling quick transactions locally, they will also help reduce the heavy customer traffic typically seen at larger regional centers.

Lynda Amechi, the Head of Shops and Retail Postpaid Business, also shared insights during the launch event, noting that the new retail model was inspired by the company’s users. She explained that after hearing from customers who felt frustrated by long queues for minor issues, the company realized that bringing smaller, fully equipped service hubs directly into local communities was the most effective solution.
