Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has fired back at a man who publicly accused her of being a thief over a property deal. The actress, who shared a promotional video for a landed property on her Instagram page, found herself in the middle of an unexpected controversy after an error in her caption sparked confusion.
In her post, Biodun had mistakenly stated that the house was worth N50 million, while her colleague Biola Bayo had previously advertised the same property for N40 million. The mix-up drew attention from followers who quickly pointed out the inconsistency. Among those who commented was a man believed to be from the movie industry, who boldly called her “a thief agent.”
The accusation did not sit well with the actress, who immediately responded in anger. In a fiery post, she vowed to make an example of him, demanding that he provide proof to support his claim. She expressed disbelief that someone who knew nothing about the property’s ownership would make such a damaging statement.
“That guy sitting beside Aunty Jaiye Kuti just called me a thief over a property he knows nothing about. I’ll use him as a scapegoat. He must prove that I’m a thief,” she declared.
This confrontation comes just weeks after Biodun raised concerns about being stalked. The actress revealed that she and her husband had been followed by someone who seemed obsessed with them, leaving her questioning whether to involve the authorities.
Not long before that, she had also clapped back at a troll who questioned her relationship with fellow entertainer Cute Abiola. Biodun said she did not blame the troll but the blogger who circulated false rumors. She prayed that divine justice would expose and disgrace those spreading lies.
Beyond controversies, Biodun has used her platform to share inspiring messages. Recently, she encouraged people going through personal struggles, reminding them that everyone faces challenges and that difficult times never last.
