Canada has praised the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission for successfully organising a diaspora conference across three cities in the country.
During a courtesy visit to the NiDCOM Chairman, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in Lagos, Canada’s Deputy High Commissioner, Carlos Rojas-Arbulú, described the three-day event as a positive step that strengthened ties between both nations. He noted that it created a useful platform for greater cooperation and engagement.
In response, Dabiri-Erewa thanked Canadian authorities for their support and said the feedback confirmed that the conference had met its objectives. She added that NiDCOM would continue working with stakeholders to promote stronger diaspora engagement, investment, and national development, while deepening the partnership between Nigeria and Canada.
