Dangote Cement Plc has disclosed the purchase of 986 of its ordinary shares by a senior company executive in a transaction valued at ₦996,491.01.
The company notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of the transaction in line with the NGX rules covering share dealings by directors and other insiders of listed companies.
According to a filing submitted to the NGX and signed by the Company Secretary, Edward Imoedemhe, the company’s Head of Treasury, Omode Emmanuel Oladimeji, carried out the purchase on May 4, 2026.
The transaction was reported as an initial notification of insider dealing under Rule 111 of the NGX Rules Governing Director and Insider Dealings.
Details contained in the filing show that the shares were purchased in two separate transactions.
Oladimeji bought 263 shares at ₦1,008.15 per share in the first transaction, followed by another 723 shares at ₦1,013.13 per share.
Together, the two purchases amounted to 986 shares, acquired at a volume weighted average price of ₦1,010.64 per share, bringing the total value of the transaction to ₦996,491.01.
The disclosure is part of the mandatory reporting process required of companies listed on the NGX whenever directors, executives or other recognised insiders trade in their company’s shares.
