Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is set to bring his music back to Lagos with a three night concert at the National Theatre, Iganmu, in December.
The singer announced the concert residency on Friday through his verified Instagram page, revealing that the event, titled “Oriadè: The Residency,” will take place from December 17 to December 19.
Davido described the concert as a special homecoming after 15 years in the music industry. In his message to fans, he said Lagos was where he wanted to celebrate the milestone after receiving years of support from audiences around the world.
“LAGOS!!! We bringing it HOME! 15 years of madness and there’s nowhere I’d rather be,” the singer wrote.
He added, “The world has shown us so much love.”
The announcement was accompanied by videos showing Davido performing to large crowds, along with scenes from Lagos and the National Theatre.
The three night residency will see the singer take the stage on three consecutive nights, giving fans an opportunity to experience his music while marking a major milestone in his 15 year career.
