Davido’s Lookalike Surfaces: “I’m the Real Father of Anu Adeleke”

The ongoing paternity dispute involving music superstar Davido and a young lady named Anu Adeleke has taken a bizarre turn following a new confession from a Nigerian man who claims to be the child’s actual biological father. In a video currently trending across social media, the man, who bears a striking physical resemblance to the singer, alleged that a case of mistaken identity is at the heart of the years-long drama.

Identifying himself as “Davido’s twin” due to their facial similarities, the man claimed that Anu’s mother, Ayotomide Labinjoh, likely believed the singer was responsible because of the uncanny resemblance between the two men. The man stated that he felt it was time to come forward and clear the singer’s name, insisting that he, and not the Afrobeats star, is the one the public should be looking at.

The video has triggered a wave of mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing exhaustion over the never-ending saga. While some commenters joked about the strange timing of the confession, others were more skeptical, suggesting the man might be a “paid actor” or someone simply looking for social media clout. A few observers, however, admitted that the resemblance is strong enough to have caused genuine confusion in the past.

This development follows a tense week of back-and-forth between the Adeleke family and Anu. The young lady had recently taken to Instagram to demand a fresh DNA test, citing years of bullying and mental distress from peers who mocked her claims of being related to the billionaire singer. In a sharp response, Davido denied the claims once again, stating he had already undergone five separate DNA tests—all of which returned negative results  threatened legal action against Anu’s mother for what he termed persistent harassment.

Anu’s mother, Ayotomide, countered the singer’s narrative by releasing chat screenshots and appealing to the US State Department to oversee a new, independent test. She alleged that Davido had dismissed her for years under the assumption that their encounter in Ibadan was with a stranger he couldn’t verify. The situation became even more official when Davido’s father, billionaire Adedeji Adeleke, held a press conference to firmly state that Anu is not his granddaughter, further accusing certain online personalities of fueling the fire to attack his son’s reputation.

With this new “look-alike” entering the fray, the situation has moved from a legal dispute into a confusing media spectacle. While the Adeleke family appears ready to put the matter to rest permanently, this latest confession adds a layer of mystery that may either provide an exit for the singer or simply invite more questions from the public.
