Deborah Enenche faces online backlash over old social media post

Deborah Enenche, daughter of Pastor Paul Enenche, has once again become a focal point of online discussion following reactions to her recent Mother’s Day post. On Sunday, March 15, 2026, she shared a series of photos celebrating the occasion, but one image drew criticism due to a visible toe ring and leg chain, which some social media users argued were inappropriate for a pastor’s daughter.

The scrutiny prompted many to revisit an older post from 2023, still pinned to the top of her Facebook page. In that post, Deborah addressed previous waves of online negativity and the toll it had taken on her. She reminded her audience that behind every profile is a human being—and a God who sees all.

“For those of you who come here with the intent to write hurtful words, just remember there’s a human being behind this account and a God who rewards all. I usually don’t read too many comments because it can get so toxic. But lately, the intensity has been overwhelming,” she wrote, expressing the need to distance herself from negativity when it becomes too much.

Deborah emphasized her right to live peacefully and follow her faith without interference. “I deserve to live my life in peace and in a way that pleases God. I don’t owe anyone here anything but I owe my life to Jesus. As long as I’m pleasing Him, that’s all that matters,” she explained.

She also appealed to online users for respect and empathy, urging them to consider the impact of their words. “Deem it a privilege to enter someone else’s virtual space and honour that bond. If you feel the need to be mean, direct it at the devil, not me. And if you don’t like me, don’t follow me. I’m simply asking for a little kindness and consideration. God bless you.”

The post underscores Deborah’s stance on maintaining personal peace and faith-driven living amid the challenges of public scrutiny, highlighting her call for online civility.
