Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule has sent a clear message to his inner circle regarding self-worth and the company he keeps. Taking to his social media, the legendary Yoruba movie star emphasized that he has no room for people who do not value his presence. In a candid post monitored by Reports, Odule explained that regardless of how important someone might be to him, he is quick to turn into a stranger the moment he realizes the feeling isn’t mutual.
The actor’s stance on loyalty is unwavering. He noted that he has learned the hard way that loyalty remains the ultimate currency in any relationship. According to him, if someone fails to recognize his worth, they simply have no place in his life. He stressed that he is at a point where he no longer wastes his time or energy on individuals who take his importance for granted.
Adding a bit of mystery to his recent declarations, Odule also addressed an unidentified person in a cryptic note. He warned that his silence should never be mistaken for blindness. The veteran actor hinted that he often sits back and allows people to play their “stupid mind games” while he quietly observes their every move, fully aware of what their next step will be.
This isn’t the first time the actor has opened up about emotional matters. Last year, he shared a series of deeply personal reflections on heartbreak and the pain of being let down. He famously remarked that while the wrong person will find you at peace and leave you in pieces, the right person will find you broken and help lead you back to peace. He admitted that the most painful part of his past experiences wasn’t just the exit of certain people, but the way they made him feel special one day and completely unwanted the next.
In a later conversation with Kamo State, Odule shed more light on these emotional posts, revealing that he had actually been “served breakfast”—a popular term for heartbreak—by a 200-level university student. Although he kept the details of her identity and school private, he used the experience to highlight how much he values peace over drama. He maintains that once a person masters the art of silence, even their jokes carry a certain weight and noise.
Despite the heavy nature of his recent warnings, the actor clarified that he still carries a spirit of love and laughter. However, he was firm in telling an unnamed individual to let him breathe. He pointed out that walking away or staying quiet doesn’t mean the other party has won; rather, it is a sign that he has decided they are no longer worth a single second of his time.
Beyond his personal relationships, Odule has also been vocal about societal changes. Reports recalls when he shared a throwback photo from his youth to criticize what he views as the decline of modern parenting. He lamented the current state of the new generation, noting with concern that the world is now seeing a trend where “babies are parenting babies,” reflecting his preference for the disciplined values of the past.
