Zoyols News

The Directors Guild of Nigeria has announced plans for a major two-day event aimed at bringing filmmakers and investors together. The inaugural DGN Film & TV Investment Summit is set to hold on 4–5 December 2026, though the exact venue is yet to be confirmed.

According to the guild’s National President, Uche Agbo, the summit is meant to strengthen the business side of filmmaking by creating direct opportunities for funding and partnerships.

The first day, themed “The Money,” will focus on film financing, investment, policy and sustainable business models. The second day, “The Pitch,” will see filmmakers present projects as the guild seeks to commission ten films, each with a minimum budget of ₦10 million.

Beyond the local focus, the summit will also serve as the launch platform for the DGN West Africa Creative Tour 2026/2027, designed to promote cross-border co-productions and collaborations across the region.
