Don’t Pay for My Wedding Invites — BBNaija’s Cross Warns Fans

Zoyols News

Big Brother Naija star Cross Okonkwo has issued an urgent public warning to fans and well-wishers ahead of his highly anticipated wedding. Taking to his Instagram story, the reality TV personality revealed that certain unscrupulous individuals have been attempting to exploit his big day by charging people as much as N500,000 for wedding invitations.

Cross made it categorically clear that he is not selling tickets to his wedding and branded anyone requesting money for entry as a thief. He urged his followers to be vigilant and report any such fraudulent activity immediately. According to him, while access cards are being used for the event, they are not for sale. He advised members of his community to coordinate only through legitimate channels, specifically mentioning his associate, Pam, to avoid falling victim to scammers.

This alert comes shortly after Cross and his beautiful bride, Chinonso, officially tied the knot in a quiet court ceremony on Monday, February 23rd. The reality star shared joyful photos from the legal union, expressing deep gratitude to his Maker as he formally introduced himself and his wife to the world as Mr. and Mrs. Okonkwo.

The journey to this moment has been a romantic one, beginning in October 2025 when Cross proposed to Chinonso in a video that quickly went viral. The footage showed a heartfelt moment with the star on one knee, and his partner happily saying yes. In subsequent posts, he has been vocal about his commitment, promising to love her “today, tomorrow, and forever” while describing her as a divine gift.

The path to finding “the one” followed several years of public speculation regarding his love life. A few years back, Cross was the subject of intense relationship rumors involving Big Brother All Stars winner Ilebaye after they were seen looking very close at a public event. However, as previously noted on Zoyols News, Cross eventually clarified those rumors in an interview, explaining that while there was a famous spark, his deeper romantic intentions and feelings were reserved for someone he truly cherished.

Now fully focused on his new chapter as a married man, Cross is doing everything possible to ensure his wedding celebrations remain a joyous occasion, free from the activities of internet fraudsters. He continues to ask his fans to ignore any unauthorized person asking for money, reiterating that his special day is about love and family, not a commercial transaction.
