As part of activities marking the 20th anniversary of the Legacy Volleyball Club, preparations are in top gear for the Super 4 Volleyball Tournament scheduled to take place on Friday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, at the Volleyball Court inside Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The two-day competition will feature eight of the finest volleyball teams across Lagos battling for supremacy. In the men’s division, Legacy Volleyball Club will face off against Lekki Volleyball Club, Street Friendly Volleyball Club, and Amuwo Spikers. The women’s category will see Legacy, Lekki, 1015 Spikers, and Amuwo Spikers competing for a ₦500,000 winner-takes-all prize.

Beyond the tournament, the club’s 20th anniversary celebration will also include a veterans’ exhibition match, visits to orphanages, and a grand gala night scheduled for Saturday, November 22.

Speaking about the milestone, the club’s president, Joy Ezenwa, described Legacy as more than just a sports club but a close-knit family that has grown stronger over the years. “We are celebrating two decades of unity, friendship, and passion for volleyball,” she said. “This is not only about the game itself but about the lives we’ve touched and the bonds we’ve built along the way.”

Ezenwa attributed the club’s longevity to teamwork and resilience, noting that the members have always stood together through challenges. “Legacy is a family. We’ve faced ups and downs, but our togetherness keeps us strong. That bond is the reason we’re still here, twenty years later,” she added.

She extended an open invitation to sports enthusiasts and volleyball fans across Lagos to join in the celebration. “We’re calling on everyone who loves the game to come and share in this moment with us. It’s going to be an exciting display of skill, friendship, and the enduring spirit of Legacy,” she said.
