Spotify Hits 777M Users, 300M Paying Subscribers

Zoyols News

Spotify has crossed the milestone of 777 million monthly users worldwide, with 300 million of them now paying for the premium service. The streaming giant revealed the figures as part of its second-quarter 2026 results, showing steady growth across its expanding audio platform.

The service is currently available in 184 markets and gives listeners access to more than 100 million tracks, millions of podcast titles, and hundreds of thousands of audiobooks in supported regions. Zoyols News understands that the company continues to grow its subscriber base through a mix of paid subscriptions and its free, ad-supported tier.

Beyond music, Spotify has steadily built out its offerings to include podcasts and audiobooks, aiming to become a broader audio destination rather than just a music app. This wider catalogue has helped the platform attract different types of listeners who want more than songs in one place.

The company faces stiff competition in the digital audio space as other platforms also fight for users’ attention. Still, its combination of scale, international reach, and large paying audience continues to keep it ahead in the subscription streaming market. The latest numbers confirm Spotify remains the largest player in audio streaming, serving hundreds of millions across multiple content formats.
