Faithia Williams Shares Moving Tribute to Her Late Mother 41 Days After

Zoyols News

Nollywood star Faithia Williams has shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late mother, marking 41 days since she was laid to rest. In a moving message that has touched the hearts of many, the actress opened up about the profound void left behind, questioning the common belief that time eventually heals the pain of such a significant loss.

For Faithia, the journey of grief has been anything but linear. She reflected on how difficult it is for time to mend a wound tied to the person who was her first home and her very first heartbeat. Although over a month has passed since the burial, the actress noted that her love for her mother remains as vibrant and untamed as ever, even through the constant ache in her chest and the many tears shed.

Describing her mother as “Iya Oyinbo,” Faithia painted a picture of a woman who was much more than a parent. She was her safest prayer, her biggest cheerleader, and the one person who taught her how to stand tall during life’s many storms. The actress vowed to honor this legacy by living a life that would make her mother proud—loving fiercely, praying loudly, and carrying herself with the strength her mother instilled in her.

The loss came at a particularly difficult time, occurring just on the eve of Faithia’s 55th birthday celebrations in February. Following the final funeral rites held on March 7th, which saw a supportive turnout from her industry colleagues, the actress shared that her world felt dark and broken. Zoyols News gathered that she had previously posted a heart-wrenching video of her mother’s last birthday wish to her, a memory that continues to leave her shattered.

Despite the heavy weight on her heart, Faithia has gradually returned to her professional duties. She admitted that promoting her latest movie projects while still mourning has been an uphill struggle. She expressed her gratitude for the public’s overwhelming support during this period and announced that a major celebration of her mother’s life and legacy is being planned for next year, ensuring that her memory is honored with the dignity it deserves. For now, the actress remains focused on her healing, comforted by the spirit of the woman who refused to let her light be dimmed.
