FIFA has accepted the resignations of top NFF officials and is working with the Nigerian government, the current NFF leadership and CAF to shape a new roadmap for football governance reforms.
A meeting held at FIFA House in Zurich brought together representatives from FIFA, CAF, the National Sports Commission and the NFF. The talks focused on creating short, medium and long-term plans to help the federation operate in a more stable and inclusive environment.
NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko led the Nigerian delegation, which included senior officials and advisers. Discussions also covered the recent resignations of NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi and other executive committee members.
The parties agreed to continue refining the reform roadmap in line with FIFA and CAF rules, with the goal of building a stronger and better-structured system for Nigerian football.
