Florentino Pérez Secures New Term as Real Madrid President

Zoyols News

Florentino Pérez will continue as president of Real Madrid after securing a convincing victory in the club’s latest presidential election, reaffirming the confidence members have placed in his leadership.

The outcome was officially announced by the club’s Electoral Board, which revealed that Pérez received 21,741 votes, representing 65 percent of the ballots cast. His challenger, Enrique Riquelme, garnered 11,814 votes, accounting for the remaining 35 percent.

The result further strengthens Pérez’s position at the helm of one of the world’s most successful football institutions. Over the years, he has overseen a period marked by major sporting achievements, financial growth and significant infrastructure development.

A lifelong Real Madrid member since 1961, Pérez will continue working alongside his executive team, including vice presidents Eduardo Fernández de Blas, Pedro López Jiménez, Enrique Sánchez González and Enrique Pérez Rodríguez, as well as other elected board members.

His renewed mandate comes at a time when the club continues to enjoy a strong global presence. Under his administration, Real Madrid has expanded its commercial influence, modernised the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and maintained competitiveness across both football and basketball.

The election result also ensures continuity for several long term projects currently being pursued by the club. These include the ongoing development of Real Madrid City and broader international initiatives designed to strengthen the club’s footprint around the world.

Club officials described the outcome as a strong endorsement of Pérez’s vision and leadership, noting that members overwhelmingly voted for stability as Real Madrid prepares for another season of domestic and European competition.

With the latest victory at the polls, Pérez is set to continue guiding the club through the next phase of its sporting and institutional ambitions.
