FoodCo, the leading supermarket chain in South-West Nigeria, has officially pulled back the curtain on its 2026 Easter Savings Campaign. This year’s initiative is designed to help families manage their festive spending by offering significant discounts on a wide array of groceries, household essentials, toiletries, and seasonal favorites. The promotion is set to run from March 31 through April 6 and will be available across all twenty-three FoodCo outlets located in Ibadan, Lagos, and Abeokuta.
According to Funmi Aiyepeku, the Chief Commercial Officer of FoodCo, this campaign is a continuation of the brand’s long-standing tradition of staying connected with its shoppers. In a chat with Reports, Aiyepeku explained that the goal is to reinforce the company’s commitment to quality, variety, and genuine value. She noted that Easter is a deeply personal time for many families, and the company wants to ensure that its customers can celebrate fully without the added stress of rising costs for everyday items.
The initiative also serves to highlight FoodCo’s year-round positioning as a retail partner that provides competitive prices every day, rather than just during peak holiday windows. Aiyepeku pointed out that because celebrations often start well before the actual holiday, the timing of the campaign is intended to support customers through the entire process of stocking up, meal preparation, and entertaining guests. She emphasized that many families have shopped with the brand for decades, and this campaign is a sincere way of giving back to that loyal community.
Since its inception in 1982, FoodCo has grown into a diversified powerhouse within the consumer goods sector, with operations spanning retail, quick-service restaurants, manufacturing, and entertainment. With a workforce of over 2,000 people across its South-West locations, the company remains a major driver of the regional economy. Beyond simple retail, it provides a vital platform for small and medium-sized businesses to reach a larger market.
The company’s consistent growth and operational excellence haven’t gone unnoticed on the global stage. Reports notes that FoodCo has earned a spot on the Financial Times’ list of Africa’s Fastest Growing Companies multiple times, including in 2021, 2022, and most recently in 2025. This latest Easter drive is just another example of how the veteran retailer continues to evolve while keeping its customers at the center of its business strategy.
