Halima Abubakar Appeals for Support as She Faces Brain Surgery

zoyolsblog

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has reached out to Nigerians, appealing for urgent support as she prepares for brain and spleen surgery.

A video circulating online shows Halima sitting on the floor with luggage and bags beside her, visibly exhausted and emotional. In the clip, she tearfully pleaded, “I’m tired of begging. Please help me with money for my brain and spleen surgery.”

This isn’t the first time Halima has spoken publicly about her struggles. Earlier, she revealed she had been evicted from her home by her landlady despite plans to renew her rent. She also shared updates about ongoing health challenges, emphasizing her need for continuous treatment.

Last year, she posted a moving video offering a prayer to God, affirming that her pain and tears would not be in vain. In subsequent posts, Halima opened up about the hardships she has faced, reiterating her exhaustion from having to ask for help and providing her account details for anyone willing to support her medical needs. Fellow actors, including Saidi Balogun, have also expressed prayers for her recovery.

Halima’s current struggles come after a turbulent period in her career. In 2024, she was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria following allegations of defaming colleagues and high-profile figures. She later issued a public apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman, admitting her false claims, seeking forgiveness, and expressing deep regret for tarnishing his reputation.

The actress has faced both professional and personal challenges over the past few years, but her current health crisis has brought renewed attention to her plight, as fans and colleagues rally to support her in this critical time.
