“I’m Sorry”: Peller Breaks Silence After Lekki Expressway Crash

Zoyol Blog

Popular Nigerian TikTok sensation, Habeeb Hamzat, better known to his millions of followers as Peller, has officially broken his silence following a terrifying incident on the Lekki–Epe Expressway. In a deeply emotional video, the Lagos-based creator offered an unreserved apology to the public after a high-speed car crash that authorities have linked to a distressed state of mind.

The incident, which unfolded during a live social media broadcast on December 14, 2025, showed Peller driving recklessly before the vehicle eventually crashed. The Lagos State Police Command, which swiftly took him into custody, described the event as a dangerous stunt that not only put his own life at risk but also threatened the safety of every other driver on the road. Due to the severity of the situation, the case was moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a more detailed look into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Visibly shaken in his latest video, Peller pleaded for forgiveness from his fans and the general public. He admitted that his emotions had spiraled out of control and insisted that he never intended to cause such chaos. He was firm in his promise that he would never repeat such behavior, stating that he is currently under medical supervision. The influencer plans to step away from the digital spotlight entirely to focus on his recovery and complete his prescribed treatment.

Addressing the rumors circulating about his personal life, Peller specifically asked people to stop attacking his estranged girlfriend, Jarvis. He took full responsibility for the episode, clarifying that the situation was his own struggle and had nothing to do with her. This plea comes as social media remains divided, with some users offering prayers for his mental health while others criticize the dangerous nature of the “live” culture that often pushes creators to the edge.

The incident has prompted a stern warning from law enforcement agencies aimed at the growing community of content creators. Authorities have made it clear that using public roads for dangerous stunts to gain views is a criminal offense that will be met with the full weight of the law. As Peller begins his journey toward healing, his story serves as a sobering reminder of the pressures of online fame and the vital importance of mental health awareness within the creative industry.
