Lizzy Gold Urges Fans to Cherish Their Parents

Zoyols News

Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has encouraged people to cherish their parents and show them love while they are still alive.

The actress shared the emotional message on her Instagram page as she reflected on her close relationship with her mother following the painful loss of her father. According to Lizzy, life becomes different after losing a parent, which is why she now holds her mother even closer.

She advised her followers not to wait for special occasions before reaching out to their parents. Lizzy urged people to call home often, check on their wellbeing and make time for those who raised them, stressing that parents will not be around forever.

Opening up about her personal experience, the actress revealed that her mother now means everything to her after the passing of her father. She explained that she never ignores her mother’s needs and always makes it a priority to return her calls immediately, no matter how busy she may be.

Her emotional message came months after she publicly mourned the death of her father shortly before the New Year. At the time, the Asaba based actress expressed deep pain over his passing, saying it was difficult to accept because the family had expected him to enter the new year with them.

Lizzy’s post also reminded many fans of similar advice shared by comedian Baba Rex, who once urged people to appreciate their parents while remembering his late father years after his death.

Beyond family matters, Lizzy Gold has continued to speak openly about relationships and marriage. During a conversation on a movie set some time ago, she stated that men should marry women who are financially stronger than them if they want respect in marriage. She also noted that she personally prefers a man who is wealthier than she is.

The actress has also shared her views about marriage on several occasions. In one of her previous posts, she warned women to be careful about rushing into marriage because of societal pressure. According to her, it is better to remain single than end up in the wrong union.

Back in 2023, Lizzy revealed details about her personal life, disclosing that she is a single mother of two children and has never been married. Her revelation surprised many fans, especially after she shared that she had stayed away from intimate relationships for several years while waiting for marriage.

She once explained that heartbreak hardly affects her because she does not become emotionally attached too easily. Lizzy added that she believes in moving on quickly from unhealthy relationships and focusing on her peace of mind instead.
