Modele Sarafa-Yusuf Resigns from APC After Primary Loss

Zoyols News

Modele Sarafa-Yusuf, former special adviser to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.

Her exit comes four months after she lost the party’s governorship ticket for the 2027 election. Senator Solomon Adeola was eventually adopted as the consensus candidate for the Ogun West zone.

Sarafa-Yusuf announced her resignation on Thursday through a statement on X. She said she had already notified the APC leadership in Ogun State and formally submitted her resignation letter.

She explained that the decision followed a period of travel, family time, and quiet reflection. While acknowledging the relationships and experiences she gained during her time in the party, she described her membership as an important chapter in her political journey.
