Nigeria Gets $300M Digital Infrastructure Boost

A major boost is coming for digital infrastructure across Africa as two major investors commit substantial funding to WIOCC Group.

Africa Finance Corporation and Vision International Investment Company have agreed to invest a combined $300 million in the carrier-neutral platform. The deal, signed during the LEAP 2026 exhibition in Riyadh, will support the expansion of fibre networks, data centres and subsea cables across the continent.

WIOCC Group’s leadership said the fresh capital will accelerate its long-term plans to meet growing demand for cloud, AI and digital services. AFC’s president described the investment as essential for helping African businesses and communities compete in the global digital economy.
