Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has shared an emotional tribute to her late mother after landing a major role in Mo Abudu’s upcoming project, The Secret Life of Baba Segi’s Wives. She described the opportunity as a dream come true, admitting that the moment still felt surreal when she first met Mo Abudu.
Excitedly sharing photos of herself picking up the script, Nkechi Blessing wrote to her late mother, expressing the depth of her joy. She revealed that the role is a significant milestone in her career and hinted at plans to celebrate the moment publicly when the movie releases.
“Job: 42 vs 10 – Dear mummy in heaven. Today I picked up my script for the most anticipated movie of the year, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives. This is indeed a big deal for me, and I can’t even hide my joy. Now preparing my speech and keeping it for the release date, so be very ready to be sick of me,” she posted, tagging the production team and director, Daniel Oriahi.
The actress’s excitement comes after a challenging period in her career. Late last year, Nkechi had openly considered stepping back from producing movies, revealing that she had invested over N80 million into projects without recouping even a fraction. She also shared personal struggles, describing attempts by others to tarnish her reputation and expressing frustration at the lack of financial stability despite her hard work.

In July, she broke down in tears of joy while signing a life-changing deal, attributing her success to God and reminding her fans that delays are not denials.
